Dance duo The Knocks deliver an upbeat, summery jam with their new song, “R U HIGH.” I’m hooked on this one right now and Mallrat‘s vocals are my favorite part. She’s got a cool voice and a unique delivery, and she sounds amazing alongside The Knock’s energizing production style.
Justin Bieber – 2 Much (SUNDRESS Flip)
Don’t look now but there are some new guys on the scene. This reworking of Justice Beaver’s “2 Much” is the very first thing Portland based duo SUNDRESS have released and it’s a lot of fun. I’m digging the smooth house style with pretty piano melodies, and the change up towards the end of the song is really really cool. …
Otherwise Fine – Shipwreck (feat. Emily Rowed)
Every shipwreck needs a setting sun 🌅. I really like those lyrics and I really like the easy vibe of Otherwise Fine‘s new song, “Shipwreck.” On this one they work with vocalist Emily Rowed to create a warm & cozy tune that hits ya right in the feels. This duo continues to impress; be sure to follow them on SoundCloud …
The Kid Laroi – Without You (LUUDE Flip)
This one is wild! LUUDE always brings the heat but he’s outdone himself with this remix. He pumps up the energy of Kid Laroi‘s “Without You” by injecting the track with furious DnB drums and an extra thicc lead synth. It’s every bit as catchy as the original with 10x the intensity.
Drake – Laugh Now Cry Later ft. Lil Durk (KREAM Remix)
Veteran EDM producer KREAM flips this Drake song on its head, turning it into an upbeat house tune that’s bursting with energy. The bouncy house rhythm pairs perfectly with Drake’s catchy verses, and I love the change of pace Lil Durk‘s voice brings to the table. Check it out below.
Jim-E Stack – Jeanie ft. Bon Iver
You may not know it, but producer Jim-E Stack and Bon Iver have worked together before, with Jim-E contributing to Bon Iver’s 2020 single, “PDLIF“. I’m glad to hear them back at it with a new collaboration—an upbeat and poppy song called “Jeanie”. These guys obviously have great chemistry and I’d love to hear more collabs down the road.
Lil Tecca – Selection feat. Skrillex & DJ Scheme
I don’t know who Lil Tecca is yet but I saw the name Skrillex and had to listen. “Selection” is catchy as hell, with easy vocals delivered overtop a casual beat. It’s nothing mind-blowing but it’s still a good one–especially considering everyone involved.
Tony Velour – EURO PLUG (feat. Dylan Brady)
Tony Velour and Dylan Brady join forces for “EURO PLUG” – an electrifying jam that really gets the people going. It’s high energy from the jump, with sharp synths and a supremely catchy chorus. Check it out below along with a little bonus: Rico Nasty‘s “iPhone”, also produced by Dylan Brady.
Kito, ZHU, & Jeremih – Follow
This song came outta nowhere and it’s the perfect summer jam. Producer Kito teams up with heavyweights ZHU and Jeremih to craft a bright and bouncy dance tune that’s undeniably catchy. The speedy house beat and warm synths coast alongside Jeremih’s vocals, which are always top notch. If you’re looking for an upbeat tune to get you moving, look no …
