EX3 puts an ethereal twist on Ariana Grande‘s “Thinking Bout You” in this lovely little remix. The vocals are pitched up and playful synths bounce alongside them, giving the song a pleasant, dreamlike feel. Listen below and check out EX3’s Soundcloud page if you’re into it.
The 1975 – The Birthday Party (greyhat Remix)
Introducing greyhat, an electronic artist coming to you live from the pine tree state, aka Maine. His new remix of The 1975 is absolutely stunning; an intricate reworking of “The Birthday Party” that’s warm and wistful and everything an indie rock remix should be. Greyhat gets glitchy and weird with chopped vocals, speedy drum patterns, and layers of trippy effects. …
Justin Bieber – 2 Much (SUNDRESS Flip)
Don’t look now but there are some new guys on the scene. This reworking of Justice Beaver’s “2 Much” is the very first thing Portland based duo SUNDRESS have released and it’s a lot of fun. I’m digging the smooth house style with pretty piano melodies, and the change up towards the end of the song is really really cool. …
Khruangbin & Knxwledge – Dearest Alfred (MyJoy)
Knxwledge + Khruangbin = 💙 The best of both styles ooze together in this collaborative reworking of “Dearest Alfred.” Knxwledge’s hazy samples and instrumentation cruise alongside Laura Lee’s airy vocals, creating a pleasantly repetitive groove. The effect is warm and hypnotic, which is everything you’d hope to hear from a pairing like this.
Portugal. The Man – Feel It Still (Lido Remix)
Throwback to this groovy remix from Lido. He stripped down PTM‘s hit song and threw in a bouncy electronic beat that completely switches the vibe of the original. It came out in 2017 but I heard it recently in Rome In Silver‘s nutty new MONOCHROME mix, which is an audio experience that 100% needs to be had. Check ’em both …
The Kid Laroi – Without You (LUUDE Flip)
This one is wild! LUUDE always brings the heat but he’s outdone himself with this remix. He pumps up the energy of Kid Laroi‘s “Without You” by injecting the track with furious DnB drums and an extra thicc lead synth. It’s every bit as catchy as the original with 10x the intensity.
Olivia Rodrigo – Drivers License (BLEM x GSPR Remix)
Olivia Rodrigo‘s incredible single caught the attention of producers everywhere, with remixes coming from all over the globe. One of my favorites is from French Canadian producer BLEM and his French-from-France counterpart GSPR. Their energetic house style takes Rodrigo’s vocals to new heights and makes for an intense and uplifting listen. Check it out along with a sweet bonus: another …
Drake – Laugh Now Cry Later ft. Lil Durk (KREAM Remix)
Veteran EDM producer KREAM flips this Drake song on its head, turning it into an upbeat house tune that’s bursting with energy. The bouncy house rhythm pairs perfectly with Drake’s catchy verses, and I love the change of pace Lil Durk‘s voice brings to the table. Check it out below.
playboi carti – molly no stylist (hawk. flip)
hawk. is an alias of one of my fave producers: charlesthefirst. His glitchy style is complex and organic and it’s made him a regular in the outdoor festival scene. This new side project is full of unreleased edits and originals—my favorite being the super smooth playboi carti flip. Listen via soundcloud below.
Kid Cudi – Memories Ft. Travis Scott & Quavo (Dawg Remix)
Dawg took a little break but he’s back with “Memories” – a reworking of Kid Cudi‘s song with additional adlibs for flavor. It’s got a good bounce and it satisfies that trap beat thirst. Check it out below and follow Dawg on Soundcloud here.
